   How much does indemnity insurance against Chancel repairs cost? Does it depends on the price of the property i'm buying or the size of the building?

   According to the providers of ChancelSure (Chancel Repair Indemnity Insurance) the cost starts from just £45.74, but will vary depending on the value of your property.

   I also understand that you can purchase a more expensive policy that covers the property, rather than just the period you own the property, this is useful if you might sell your property before 2013 (when the liability will cease).

   You won't have any haggling with prospective purchasers over who pays for their policy then, it'll already be in place!
